Baghdad - Iraq: On May 16, 2023, President Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid of Iraq  met with esteemed representatives from Al Handal International Group (HIG) to emphasize the importance of the private sector and its impact on the country. The meeting included Mr. Wadeea Al Handal, Chairman of HIG and President of The Iraqi Private Banks League (IPBL), Mr. Ali Tariq, CEO of IPBL, Mr. Adnan Shaker, CEO of Kaizen Hospitality (a subsidiary of HIG), and Ms. Mays Al Gayyer, Assistant Manager and Exhibition coordinator of The Gallery (a subsidiary of HIG).

The meeting focused on the significant contribution of the private sector to Iraq's economic and social development. The participants exchanged views on practical methods to enhance the role of the private sector, encourage investments , and create jobopportunities .

The Empowerment Fund, which supports community initiatives, was also discussed. The participants reviewed the fund's achievements and explored new ideas to develop programs that enhance community development and promote sustainability .

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration with the technical sector in Iraq and emphasized the need for cooperation between Arab and Kurdish artists. The participants emphasized the role of the artistic sector in promoting cultural identity and expression. They also discussed the importance of supporting artists, fostering an enabling environment for creativity , and developing cultural and creative industries.

Al Handal International Group underscored the significance of the meeting, anticipating positive outcomes for economic and artistic activities within the private sector in the future.
