Wadee Al Handal, Chairman of Al Handal International Group, played a pivotal role in the recent Money, Investment, and Women Conference held in Erbil on September 11, 2023.  During his address, Mr. Al Handal underscored the visionary initiative of Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Kurdistan Region Investment Authority, to establish an inter-provincial railway network, a move aimed at enhancing connectivity within the region. He emphasized the importance of this approach, clarifying that banks primarily borrow from deposits rather than capital, as mandated by the Bank Act. Furthermore, Mr. Al Handal commended the Iraqi Central Bank's lending initiative, highlighting its significant potential in creating job opportunities.
